2036 Summer Olympics in Doha: A Historic Event in the Heart of Qatar
The capital of Qatar, Doha, has been selected to host the 2036 Summer Olympics. This decision follows years of work to attract major international events to the region, and now Qatar is preparing to host one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world.
According to Relevo, Qatar and the International Olympic Committee are currently finalizing the details of the Games. The choice of Doha is no coincidence: the city has already established itself as a reliable venue for major sporting events. In recent years, it hosted the 2015 World Handball Championships, the 2016 World Cycling Championships, and the 2018 and 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics and Athletics Championships, respectively. Doha also hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup and is preparing to host the 2027 Basketball World Cup.
